In 1999, Scientist Nguyễn Phương Dung received a government scholarship to study in the US. Offered $150,000/year with full benefits, she chose to return to Vietnam to pursue herbal research with Prof. Đái Duy Ban.
In 2013, the herbal alkaline research began. After 4 years of failed experiments came the breakthrough: a stable herbal alkaline concentrate, fundamentally different from electrolyzed water.
She filed the patent in 2020; it was granted on 18/09/2024. In 2021, Felix Nguyen started the company to bring it to market.
The patent stays with its inventor. The company's role is to commercialise it exclusively, and to do the same for the next patented technologies from Vietnam, starting with postbiotics, now in research.
